Pre-Trial Services
The Pretrial Supervision Program (PSP) was approved for funding in 2006. The major objective of PSP is to assist the Commission with an option to better manage county jail bed resources by providing the Courts an alternative between personal recognizance bonds and professional (cash, property, and surety) bonds that are not posted resulting in occupied jail beds. The PSP option allows the court an opportunity to reduce bail while at the same time ensuring public safety by maintaining active supervision of defendants. The program is operated by Pretrial Services/Community Corrections and on a daily basis saves on average of 63 jail bed days.
