City Council - Judy Montero, Dist. 9Fastracks
Councilwoman Montero is the Chair of the Fastracks Committee. This Committee is a "Committee of the whole" which means that all 13 Council members are members of the committee. Councilwoman Rosemary Rodriguez created the Fastracks Committee to review Fastracks projects including corridor and environmental projects, Denver Union Station, transit-oriented development projects, transit planning, and RTD issues.
Denver Union Station is the planned multi-modal hub for the Denver Region. Because of its central location in Council District 9, portions of virtually all of the Fastracks corridors cut through many of our neighborhoods. It is for that reason that Councilwoman Montero has a keen interest in the build out of Fastracks and works to create a committee where issues of concern to neighborhoods, the City, RTD, and the region can be addressed. The Fastracks Committee generally meets the 3rd Monday of each month at 3:30 PM.
