Save the Sundial at Cranmer Park

Denver Parks and Recreation (DPR) has recently launched an innovative public-private partnership to spearhead the restoration of Sundial Plaza at Cranmer Park.  The restoration project will encompass reconstructing the terrazzo panorama, repairing the sundial, and rebuilding the foundation of the plaza. Renovation of this important site is necessary to restore the architectural significance and aesthetic beauty of the plaza.  Costs for this project are estimated to be $1.3 million, with more than $450,000 committed already by DPR, the Denver Office of Cultural Affairs, and community members.

With limited government funding available, DPR is dependent upon the generosity of individuals, corporations, and foundations to secure the remainder of the renovation costs to revitalize Cranmer Park. We are all beneficiaries of the beautiful parks, majestic landscapes, and historic structures that surround us. Please consider how your support can make an enduring mark on our city.

To get involved today by making a tax-deductible gift online, please visit www.denvergov.org/donatetoparksandrec and select the Sundial Fund. Every dollar of your gift goes to preserve the legacy and beauty of Sundial Plaza for future generations. For more information on this project or to assist with the fundraising efforts, please contact Eleni Sarris at DPR at (720) 913-0656 or eleni.sarris@denvergov.org.
