How to Obtain an Outdoor Seating Area Permit
Dining and having a cocktail on an outdoor patio or rooftop is a unique aspect of the restaurant, bar and nightclub experience in Denver. Such establishments gain excellent value as patrons are drawn by outstanding views of the Mile High City offered by open air seating areas.
However, such areas require a permit called a
“Tables, Chairs and Railings (TCR)” permit. Holding this permit for such outdoor spaces means that establishments follow City regulation regarding the existence of outdoor seating areas to ensure safety for both patrons and pedestrians in the public right-of-way. For more information and details on “TCR” permits, please visit
