The Clerk and Recorder records documents received over-the-counter or by mail from individuals, banks, title companies, and others. Such documents may include warranty and quit claim deeds, liens and lien releases, assignments, judgments, court orders, military discharges and marriage certificates.
The Clerk and Recorder also archives and retrieves these documents on demand. Searches of the recording archives may be requested, (except for real estate records) or may be conducted by members of the public.
Note: Records archival does not include county court or other court records, except for court orders.
City Clerk records such as the municipal code, city contracts, City Council documents, financial disclosures, and lobbyist registrations, are now located in the Records section of the new website.
