PROJECT CONSTRUCTION CONTINUES
Castle Rock Construction is continuing work on the City and County of Denver’s project to widen 56th Avenue from Spruce Street to Havana Street. Construction is nearing completion of a new bridge over the haul road and the widening of the bridge over the Havana Channel. The contractor will finish paving the westbound lanes following the completion of some remaining utility relocation work.
Traffic will shift to the new westbound lanes as soon as paving is completed. Reconstruction of the eastbound lanes will then commence, including maintenance repairs to the existing haul road bridge, and construction of a new pedestrian bridge over the haul road.
