PROJECT CONSTRUCTION TO BEGIN IN FEBRUARY
The City and County of Denver has awarded Castle Rock Construction the contract for widening 56th Avenue to six lanes from Spruce Street to Havana Street.
Key project elements include the reconstruction and widening of 56th Avenue with concrete pavement, construction of an additional bridge over the Haul Road, widening of the bridge over the Havana Channel, construction of street drainage facilities, adjustment of utilities, landscaping, and new traffic signals at Dallas Street.
Construction of the project will begin in late February and be completed within 16-months.
