Projects - 1D: Streets and Public Works

Our street maintenance has not been keeping pace with our growth in population and traffic. Until recently, we've been trying to catch up on repairing potholes that were developing because we weren’t able to afford better and longer term maintenance solutions.

Now, bond funding will help move us in the right direction. In addition to better maintenance, 1D will help increase traffic capacity in targeted areas, and help make Denver more pedestrian friendly and sustainable.

Yosemite Sound Wall Repair Bond Map	$518,000	Replace and/or repair sections of pre-cast concrete panels in the Yosemite sound wall to deter traffic noise from E. Kenyon to E. Oxford.
Street Maintenance Reconstruction	$50,000,000	Reconstruction of asphalt arterial and collector streets in poor condition. There are approximately 43 street reconstruction projects which will receive bond-funding, however the list of projects is subject to change:
Federal Blvd - Alameda to 6th Bond Map	$15,525,000	Adds 3rd northbound lane & widens all lanes to improve safety; new median and curb & gutter; transit stop improvements on high usage route
CPB Interchange project page	$30,000,000	New interchange with I-70 and Central Park Blvd, which is midway between Havana and Quebec in the Stapleton area. This project will involve local and federal funding, as well as significant developer funding.
Quincy Avenue (between Pierce and Sheridan) Bond Map	$3,105,000	This project would level out the hill to address safety issues along Quincy.
Federal Bridge over U.S. 6 (additional NB lane) Bond Map	$2,070,000	Funding would add an additional northbound lane to correct lane imbalance between 5th and 7th Avenues, including bridge over US 6.
TREX Finalization - Local Impacts Phase 1: Buchtel West of University Improvements Bond Map Phase 2: Buchtel East of University Improvements Bond Map Phase 3: Boston Improvements Bond Map Phase 4: Oxford Improvements Bond Map Phase 3 and 4 (Boston/Oxford Improvements) project page	$3,105,000	Provides for improved pedestrian access from neighborhoods to transit stations.
