Address Change To change the mailing address of the owner for real property owned in Denver Complete form and email, mail, or fax to the Assessment Division.

Note: Tax years eligible for abatement petitions change annually on January 1st. Tax years 2012 and 2013 are currently open.

Petition for Abatement or Refund of Taxes To appeal property values and to abate (refund) taxes for the immediate two prior years through the Board of County Commissioners (BoCC). Anytime during 2014, a new petition may be submitted for 2013 and/or 2012.  BoCC Petition for Abatement Instructions
Affidavit for Corporate or Business Property Owners Should an appeal to the BoCC result in a refund of taxes, this form should be filed for appeals on assets owned by businesses or corporate owners of real property.

This form should not be filed if your taxes were paid by a lender, and/or you are an individual property owner. Individuals should use the Affidavit for Individual Property Owners.
Fill in all the blank spaces by providing the information requested. Failure to complete the affidavit will result in the affidavit being rejected. Once completed, the form should be filed with Treasury.
Affidavit for Individual Property Owners

Should an appeal to the BoCC result in a refund of taxes, this form should be filed for appeals on assets owned by an individual of real property.

This form should not be filed if your taxes were paid by a lender, and/or you are a business or corporate owner. Business or corporate owners should use the Affidavit for Corporate or Business Property Owners.

Fill in all the blank spaces by providing the information requested. Failure to complete the affidavit will result in the affidavit being rejected. Once completed, the form should be filed with Treasury.
