 Sandi Armstrong (representing District 7)

Sandi, LCSW, is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who has a psychotherapy practice in Denver and also serves as a traumatologist who responds to critical incidents for businesses and organizations.  Sandi has volunteered for many years and chaired the steering committee for Gay and Gray in the West.  She is currently involved in working with the GLBT Center of Colorado to expand programming for GLBT Seniors. Sandi is part of the National Gay and Lesbian Task Force's Aging Roundtable.

      

   Jamie Malone (representing District 8 - Chair)

Jamie has lived in Denver District 8 for the past 11 years.  She has been employed with the State of Colorado, in the Aging and Adult Services Division since September of 2000 and is attending the University of Colorado - Colorado Springs pursing a degree in Gerontology.  She is the staff administration for the Colorado Commission on Aging, was instrumental in planning the regional and the Colorado Governor’s White House Conference on Aging events.  She participated in the 2005 White House Conference on Aging in Washington, DC as a volunteer, and continues to attend strategic planning meetings with the Colorado delegation.  Jamie is very active working with and assisting the aging networks throughout the state.  She is a Recognition of Excellence award winner for Customer Service and the 2007 Young Professional in Aging award winner presented by the Colorado Gerontological Society.

Mary Ann May

Mary Ann is the Development Director of HealthSet. She has over 30 years of non-profit experience including development, volunteer management, board development and grant writing. Mary Ann has an MA in Counseling, and a BA in Psychology. Mary Ann has a strong desire to make a difference in the lives of the elderly, especially those who might not otherwise be remembered.

    

 Morris Price, Sr. (representing District 11)

Morris is a retired U. S. Air Force Veteran with over 22 years of service and a U.S. Department of Labor employee with over 15 years of service.  He has been a Denver residence for 30 years and resides in Northeast Denver.  Married (Joyce) with three grown children; daughter and attorney residing in Austin, Texas; daughter and Materiel Engineer residing in Seattle, Washington; son Morris Jr, residing in Denver and currently employed with the Gill Foundation. Morris is a native of Plaquemine, Louisiana where he received his early education; a BA Degree from Columbia College and MA from Webster University. Currently holds membership with the Disabled American Veterans, The Retired Enlisted Association, The NAACP, The National Black Veterans Association; The American Legion, AARP (Driver Instructor for Safe Driving Classes), a prior member of Mayor African-American Advisory Committee; Far Northeast Neighbors Association. 

 

 Juanita Rios-Johnston

Juanita is the Division Director for the Family and Adult Division at Denver Human Services.  Juanita’s background is long term care nursing and was a nursing director prior to coming to Denver Human Services 20 years ago.  The Family and Adult Division provides families and adults with protective, medical, financial and nutritional supportive services.
