Launching a campaign is an involved process. Here we present select resources that we hope will make the undertaking easier. This workshop is not intended to be a comprehensive program relevant in all particulars and details to all candidates and campaigns. Rather, it necessarily must seek only to provide an overview of some of the topics of general interest to a broad range of situations.
Getting Started
The conduct of Colorado elections is based on state law. For Denver elections specifically, city law moreover applies. Please begin your campaign by thoroughly familiarizing yourself with statutes and ordinances pertaining to elections and campaigns. We do not attempt to provide an exhaustive listing of applicable sections of law, as this would be both unauthorized and impractical. Exactly what law applies to which campaign or candidacy can vary by the particular candidacy, itself. Part of your substantial responsibility as a competent candidate is to determine what law applies in your particular situation.
