Mountain Parks
The City and County of Denver parks system includes more than thirty-one mountain parks, including Red Rocks Park and amphitheatre, the Buffalo Bill Museum and bison herd, a ropes challenge course, and sixteen unnamed mountain wilderness areas.

Parks and Recreation Advisory Board
The Parks and Recreation Advisory Board consists of 19 Denver residents who serve without pay representing the Mayor, City Council and Denver Public Schools to advise the parks and recreation manager with respect to departmental policy, operations and the budget.
