Snow Removal on City-Owned Property
Denver Parks + Recreation and Facilities Planning and Management are responsible for removing snow on all city-owned property, as well as sidewalks surrounding the property.  Denver Parks + Recreation performs snow removal on city sidewalks. During normal snowfall, the snow will be removed as usual, including around recreation centers. Recreation Centers will also be plowed and shoveled for Saturday and Sunday hours as needed.

Major Snow Event
During a major snow event (12 inches or more of snow with freezing temperatures between November 15 and March 15), an alternative snow plan will be placed into effect. This plan includes:

• Transferring approximately 30 light plow vehicles from Denver Parks to Public Works
• Removing snow from critical city buildings and surrounding sidewalks
• Addressing parks and recreation centers
