Denver Parks and Recreation is pleased to offer internship opportunities to undergraduate and graduate students in the parks and recreation or leisure services curriculum of an accredited school, university or college.
Recreation in the City of Denver consists of 29 recreation centers along with nationally recognized programs in Aquatics, Community Recreation and Outdoor Recreation. Denver’s broad community based system offers locations for Denver residents within walking or biking distance to a nearby recreation center.
Internships can be tailor made to fit your interest area. Youth, Adult and Senior populations offer programming in the areas of Art/Culture, Aquatics/Fitness/Sports, Social Enrichment, Outdoor Recreation, Therapeutic Recreation and Special Events and Partnerships. Our recreation center amenities include indoor/outdoor pools, weight rooms, fitness areas, multipurpose rooms, dances spaces and gymnasiums.
Denver
Parks and Recreation offers a 12-week, 480 hour internship in the winter, spring, summer or fall. Our internship provides a well-rounded experience in recreation working with people of all ages.

We offer a 15-week, 600 hour internship in the Winter/Spring (Jan.-May), Summer (May-Aug.), and Fall (Sept.-Dec.). Our internship provides a well-rounded community based experience in Therapeutic Recreation. You will be working with people of varying ages and ability levels.
