The Better Denver Bond Program funded the renovations of the Hampden Branch Library that were completed in the fall of 2009. The renovations have improved the function, technology, energy-efficiency, building security, comfort and aesthetics of the library.
Better Denver Bond funding also provided for the installation of automated library material self–check stations, and the introduction of Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) to library materials. RFID will revolutionize how customers access and acquire library books and media. This technology will increase staff productivity, enabling faster library materials processing, and making the collection more readily available for customer use.
