Admission to the LEAD Program is highly selective. Application to the program requires that candidates:

• Have at least one year of service with the City.
• Be at a managerial level and have job responsibilities with Citywide impact or manage projects/programs with Citywide impact.
• Write a leadership philosophy statement.
• Commit to participating in the program for the full two years and for meeting the minimal requirements of the program.
• Obtain the required financial and time support from the agency.
• Submit three letters of recommendation, one of which is from current supervisor.

Tuition for the program is $1,000 per year, billed interagency. The program fee covers the costs for consultants and facilitators, offsite location costs, food, beverages and materials.
