Each year, the Division of Environmental Quality conducts numerous outreach events, compliance assistance, and public and private facility inspections to ensure that Denver continues to be a better place to live and work.
Denver Small Business Energy Program
Our program provides education, support services, and financial assistance to small businesses and business districts to help business owners save money, increase energy efficiency, and reduce greenhouse gas emissions. In addition to providing low or no cost energy solutions for businesses, we also assist with establishing performance goals and long term strategies for ongoing energy and sustainability improvements.
New EPA Renovation, Repair and Painting (RRP) Rule
To help prevent childhood lead poisoning, a new federal rule took effect on April 22, 2010 which requires contractors to be trained and certified in lead-safe work practices. The rule applies to work performed on pre-1978 housing or on child-occupied facilities.
