DENVER, CO ­— March 18, 2010 — The City of Denver finalized its purchase of the Church in the City site on March 9, 2010.

 

The land, located at 1530 Josephine Street, was acquired for $6 million and will be the future home of the central Denver recreation center. Numerous centrally-located sites were considered for the central Denver recreation center, with the Church in the City eventually being identified as the most feasible after several public meetings.

DENVER, CO ­— March 8, 2010 — Denver Parks and Recreation is beginning work this month on a series of trail upgrades and enhancements to revitalize Denver’s renowned multi-use trail system. This trail revitalization program, funded by the Better Denver Bond Program, will greatly improve the trail users experience throughout the City.
