What type of tickets may be paid online?
Payments accepted over the Internet depend upon a number of circumstances and typically fall into the following three categories: 1) You have appeared in court and have unpaid fines, costs, and fees; 2) You failed to appear in court or failed to pay a traffic ticket and a default judgment was entered; or 3) You wish to pay a ticket prior to the court date listed on the ticket. To pay a traffic ticket prior to court, the fine must be listed on the face of the ticket. You may also pay a General Sessions Summons and Complaint online prior to court if the only charge(s) on the face of the ticket are for the following offenses or combination of the following offenses:

Can I make a payment on any Denver County Court case?
No. However, we are constantly seeking ways to accept more types of payments online.

A fine amount is listed on my ticket and my court date is at a future time; however, my payment is being rejected online. Why?
On rare occasions, an officer writes a fine amount on a ticket that should have required a mandatory court appearance. On even rarer occasions, a computer glitch may have caused the problem. While the Court will honor the payable amount, the matter must be handled in person at 1437 Bannock Street, Room 135.

Why is my ticket not eligible to be paid online?
POSSIBLE REASONS why a ticket is not eligible for internet payment are as follows:
- You may have been charged with a violation that requires you to appear in court.
- The officer may have written a fine amount on a ticket or a computer error may have indicated a ticket is payable. For these types of circumstances where a mandatory court appearance is required, but the error causes the citation to be issued as a payable citation, the Court will honor the payable amount. However, the matter must be handled in person at 1437 Bannock Street, Room 135.
- You may have been involved in an accident and were charged with a violation that requires your appearance in court.
- Your ticket may already be closed because 1) Upon review of your ticket, the charge(s) have been dismissed, or 2) We have received payment in full. For traffic tickets, contact the Traffic Division at 720-865-7840 for details. For all other Denver County Summons and Complaints, contact the Court at 720-337-0410.
- A fine amount is not indicated on the ticket and your appearance is mandatory.
- You may have missed court and your ticket may be in Warrant status. If your ticket is in Warrant status, you will need to post a bond or appear at an add-on court session. For traffic tickets, contact the Traffic Division at 720-865-7840 for details. For all other Denver County Court Summons and Complaints, contact the Court at 720-337-0410.
- You may currently be on a payment plan. Currently, pre-arranged payments need to be made in person at any of our payment locations or via mail.
- You may have appeared in court, but failed to pay the fine assessed, which resulted in the case being in a Failure to Pay Warrant status. Currently, these types of payments need to be made in person or via mail.

The points assessed are the points that are reported to the Denver Motor Vehicle when you accept the plea bargain the City is offering. This applies ONLY to traffic tickets. The plea bargain is noted on the face of your ticket. Description of the lower point charges are located on the back of your ticket and are as follows:
- 1 point R.M.C. 54-70(b) Defective Headlamps
- 2 points R.M.C. 54-68 Operating an Unsafe or Defective Vehicle
- 3 points R.M.C. 54-155 Driving Too Fast for Conditions
- 4 points R.M.C. 54-258 Disobedience to Stop Sign
Although the ticket may indicate a higher point amount, please be aware that you are still eligible to accept the lower point charge on the face of the ticket, up until the time of your court appearance.
