Creating a Domestic Violence Center

Watch this month's Dialogue:Denver DA
Denver does a great job of providing resources to victims of domestic violence. But numerous agencies and many different needs of victims can be a challenge. There is a new approach in the works, a “Domestic Violence Center” that brings resources together in one place. We explore this new approach with former City Attorney Cole Finegan, Councilman Michael Hancock and DA Mitch Morrissey on this edition of Dialogue: Denver DA.
Currently, a victim must go to multiple locations and organizations to get the help she needs. She must re-tell her story numerous times, and agencies often duplicate work in an effort to provide services.
