The public in invited to recognize the start of the playground improvements at the City of Axum Park, while also welcoming Mayor Hagos of Axum, Ethiopia, who will be a special guest at the event. Denver’s City of Axum Park has a special ‘sister-city’ relationship with Axum, Ethiopia. Denver Mayor John Hickenlooper will speak, and along with others, will celebrate the improvements and welcome Mayor Hagos. The Better Denver Bond Program is funding the playground improvements.
