As stewards of our urban environment, we strive to incorporate sustainable practices into everything we do. Examples of programs and practices we perform in support of the Mayor's Sustainable Development Initiative, Greenprint Denver, can be found below:

The P2 program seeks to decrease the amount of hazardous product or pollutant released into the environment prior to recycling, treatment, or disposal to proactively reduce hazards to public health and the environment.

 

Environmental Management Systems (EMS)

An Environmental Management System (EMS) provides a structure for an organization to manage its environmental impacts.   EQ is leading the effort to develop an EMS across all city operations.
