County Court

The traffic division adjudicates cases involving Colorado Revised Statutes and the Denver Revised Municipal Code violations pertaining to motor vehicles. Some of the charges handled by the traffic division include no proof of insurance, no operators license, and speeding. The traffic division operates from 8:00 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. Daytime courts are staffed by judges. All evening courtrooms are staffed by magistrates. If a defendant does not wish to have their case heard by a magistrate, they may contact the clerk's office and request to be scheduled into a day court and appear in front of a judge.

   

Effective November 1, 2010, the Denver County Court will be closing all four Satellite locations. This will include the Bear Valley, 44th & Lowell, Montbello and West Mississippi offices. It was our pleasure to serve you in your neighborhoods for the past ten years; however budget constraints and staffing shortages no longer allow us to continue.
