CITY AND COUNTY OF DENVER PERMITS for DEMOCRATIC NATIONAL CONVENTIONFirst Requests will be Accepted from March 3 - 14, 2008
 The 2008 Democratic National Convention (DNC) has been declared to be an "Extraordinary Event". This event will require special efforts to coordinate the permitting and licensing activities of the various departments and agencies of the City.
Given the international significance and the large-scale nature of this Extraordinary Event, a special process has been established for events, permits, and licenses in the downtown area [ map] from August 15 – 31, 2008.

| HISTORIC AGREEMENT FOR A HISTORIC PARK Denver's Daniels Park to Receive Much Needed Improvements.
| Officials with Douglas County and the City and County of Denver have finalized a Cooperative Agreement defining roles and responsibilities for implementation of the Master Plan for Daniels Park, the historic 1,000-acre ranch north of Castle Rock that has been part of Denver’s Mountain Parks system since the 1920s.
Daniels Park is known for its bison herd, dramatic views of the Rocky Mountains, historic ranch buildings, the Kit Carson Campsite, distinctive stone shelter and the TallBull Memorial Grounds.
