Denver Office of Strategic Partnership develops resource guide

The Denver Office of Strategic Partnerships (DOSP) announces the release of the
Business Good Citizenship Kit, a comprehensive resource guide that explains the benefits of corporate giving, provides guidelines on establishing a corporate giving program, and offers information about nonprofit organizations in the Denver-metro area.
The DOSP created the Business Good Citizenship Kit to support Mayor John Hickenlooper’s vision of
fostering partnerships by supporting nonprofits and engaging the community in volunteer efforts, which help make Denver a great city. One way to support this vision is to
get businesses actively involved in helping nonprofits either through donations or volunteering.
“Employees really do want to see their employers do something good for the community,”
Mike Roque, Director of DOSP said. “And, most businesses want to do something good, but haven’t known where to begin. This resource guide gives them the tools to get started and shows them how it can strengthen their corporate culture and establish community goodwill.”
The resource guide provides
step-by-step instructions, examples of corporate giving and volunteering models, involvement initiatives, recognition ideas and a resource contact list.
The DOSP created the Business Good Citizenship Kit in coordination with numerous local nonprofits.
