Luxury Hotel to Be Built at Southeast Corner of Airport Terminal
Denver Mayor John Hickenlooper announced the selection of Westin Hotels & Resorts to build a
500-room luxury hotel at Denver International Airport (DIA). Westin is owned by Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide Inc.
“A Westin hotel at DIA will strengthen its standing as a world-class airport and enhance our capacity to accommodate both business and leisure travelers,” Hickenlooper said. “This hotel fulfills a vision that began with the construction of DIA. We are excited about the business the new Westin hotel will generate for the airport and the City.”

The new Westin hotel will be built at the southeast corner of the airport terminal and feature nearly 26,000 square feet of meeting and conference space as well as restaurants, a health club and swimming pool and a parking garage.

City Council President Michael Hancock, in whose district the hotel will be built, said, “we are delighted to have Starwood and Westin on board for this important project. We look forward to working together with Westin to creating a world-class asset for the entire region.”
