November 6, 2007 will be the next election in Denver.
 
This is a coordinated School Election that contains several types of ballot items. In addition to candidates for seats on the Denver Public Schools Board, the City of Denver will have Bond Issues relating to city infrastructure and there will be a citizen generated initiated ordinance.
 
The Denver Elections Division reminds Denver residents that the deadline to register to vote in this election is Tuesday, October 9th.  Fill out a registration form in person at the Elections Divisions office at 303 W. Colfax Avenue.  Or download the form at www.DenverGov.org/elections; click on the “forms” tab.  Registration forms must be received by the Elections Division no later than 5 p.m. Tuesday, October 9th.
 
The election will be a mail ballot election. Active voters will have their ballots automatically delivered by mail in mid-October.  Ballots can be returned by mail or dropped-off at numerous locations around the city.

Denver 8 TV has covered a community discussion on the pros and cons to the city Infrastructure Bonds. Also available there is a program on the background of the Infrastructure Task Force and the bond package process, plus a preview of the November ballot.
