Denver volunteers staff newest COP shop
The Denver Police Department recently celebrated the grand opening of the west Denver COP Shop. The storefront sub-station at 4200 Morrison Road is operated 100% by volunteers and donations. It is a place where citizens can file reports or obtain information about city services. There is also valuable information on crime prevention tips and programs.
There are COP Shops serving seven Denver communities, all part of the VIP (Volunteers in Policing) program. The Denver Police Department is looking for qualified individuals interested in being trained to work in the COP Shops. Learn more about the VIP program at 720-913-1038 or visit www.denverpolicevolunteers.com.
