Denver Revitalizes Disability Parking Enforcement Program

The Denver Office of Disability Rights (DODR) is revitalizing the Disability Parking Enforcement Program in an effort to recruit more volunteers. The Right-of-Way Enforcement (ROWE) division will also begin to enforce disability parking laws in Denver’s private and public lots. |

Budget Input Sought

Denver is soliciting public input on the City’s 2010 budget plans. “We want to hear from citizens about their priorities for City services and programs. We encourage everyone to participate with an online survey ”, said Mayor John Hickenlooper.

The New Zoning Code website is a way for everyone in Denver to get involved and give feedback on the code. The interactive site has many features, including blogs, video blogs, questions and answers, a public meeting schedule and general information on The New Zoning Code.

| Movies in the Parks Fun-Filled Night Under the Stars
 Bring your lawn chairs, blankets, and picnic goodies for a fun-filled night under the stars watching a movie in the park. The Denver Parks and Recreation department is hosting its third season of Movies in the Parks. There are 16 family friendly movies scheduled all summer long to encourage people to get out, enjoy their parks and the beautiful summer weather in Colorado. With inflatable screens over 24 ft wide, coupled with high quality sound systems your movie viewing experience will be one-of–a-kind. There will be free pre-show entertainment, as well as free popcorn, snow cones and cotton candy. Sponsors of the 2008 Movies in the Park are Sooper Credit Union, Denver Community Credit Union, Downtown Denver Business Improvement District, Oakwood Homes and Four Mile Historic Park.
