Denver Announces Access and Mobility Plans for Final Convention Night at Invesco Field at Mile High
 
After extensive preparation and work with local, state and federal transportation and security officials, the City and County of Denver announced local mobility and access plans for the last day of the Democratic National Convention: Thursday, August 28, 2008.

311 opens DNC Hotline
 
Denver’s Customer Care Center, 311, has launched The DNC Hotline, an auxiliary call center established to answer questions related to the Democratic National Convention and to manage an anticipated increase in call volume through the end of the month.
 
 
 

Creative Space Website Launched
 
Creative Space Agent will be a free Web portal just for Denver’s space-starved creative community. The site's goals are to allow creative businesses, artists and arts organizations to search for and promote available performance, rehearsal, studio, business and housing space to meet unique needs.

Movies in the Parks
Fun-Filled Night Under the Stars
 
Bring your lawn chairs, blankets, and picnic goodies for a fun-filled night under the stars watching a movie in the park. The Denver Parks and Recreation department is hosting its third season of Movies in the Parks. There are 16 family friendly movies scheduled all summer long to encourage people to get out, enjoy their parks and the beautiful summer weather in Colorado.

With inflatable screens over 24 ft wide, coupled with high quality sound systems your movie viewing experience will be one-of–a-kind. There will be free pre-show entertainment, as well as free popcorn, snow cones and cotton candy.

Sponsors of the 2008 Movies in the Park are Sooper Credit Union, Denver Community Credit Union, Downtown Denver Business Improvement District, Oakwood Homes and Four Mile Historic Park.
