Denver Justice Center Gains Green Award
Post Office/Parking Garage Achieves Silver LEED Rating
 
The new Denver Justice Center complex has received a final SILVER LEED, or Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design, rating from the US Green Building Council (USGBC).
 
“This building is a perfect example of sustainable construction practices that can help us significantly reduce that impact,” said Denver Mayor John Hickenlooper. LEED promotes a whole-building approach to sustainability by recognizing performance in five key areas of human and environmental health.

Denver Parks and Rec Summer Camp
Registration Begins March 10
 
Denver Parks and Recreation has the perfect, affordable solution to entertain your children on the upcoming summer days. This year, Denver Parks and Recreation will be hosting six outdoor-based day camps within our parks and eleven indoor camps at various recreation centers throughout the metro Denver area.

These licensed summer camps provide structured learning programs focused around sports and fitness, arts and crafts and aquatics, while providing young campers with a fun and educational experience. Most day camps start the second week in June and conclude the first week in August.

Summer Camp registration begins March 10, 2008 so hurry and sign up as camps fill quickly. For hours of operation, ages, fees and other charges, please go to Recreation website and click on Summer Camps or call 3-1-1 for more information.
