Denver Justice Center Gains Green Award
Post Office/Parking Garage Achieves Silver LEED Rating
 
The new Denver Justice Center complex has received a final SILVER LEED, or Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design, rating from the US Green Building Council (USGBC).
 
“This building is a perfect example of sustainable construction practices that can help us significantly reduce that impact,” said Denver Mayor John Hickenlooper. LEED promotes a whole-building approach to sustainability by recognizing performance in five key areas of human and environmental health.

DIA Job Fair Job Fair Promotes Over 300 Openings

With more than 30,000 jobs located at Denver International Airport and its tenant and surrounding businesses, DIA is a major employment center for metro Denver. To connect job seekers with a wide variety of airport jobs, the Denver Office of Economic Development will host a DIA Job Fair, Friday, February 15, from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m., at the Green Valley Ranch Recreation Center, 4890 Argonne Way in Denver.

Offered seasonally, the job fair promotes more than 300 full-time and part-time openings available in several fields, including retail, transportation, airlines, restaurants, catering and security.

All job applicants must pass a background check to be eligible for employment at Denver International Airport. In addition, prospective employees must successfully complete an airport security test to be hired. The Denver Workforce Center at DIA offers free airport security preparation classes to assist those taking the test.
