New Engagement Added

The Denver Film Society is excited to announce its schedule for the 2009 summer series, Film on the Rocks powered by Xbox 360. This year marks the 10th Anniversary with ten films over ten weeks this summer beginning June 16 and extending through August 18.

“What better way to celebrate ten years of Film on the Rocks than with ten unforgettable nights of music and film,” commented Britta Erickson, Associate Director of the Denver Film Society. “We will mark the celebration this year by revisiting some of our favorite films from the past nine years as well as some new classics that we think will kick-off the next decade.”

Peace & Love on the Rocks will commemorate one of the most legendary events in popular music history. Something Underground will be joined on-stage by a roster of notable Colorado musicians performing tributes to original Woodstock acts. The guest artist lineup includes Jock Bartley (Firefall and U4X), Henry Butler, Amanda Capper (Remember May), Chris Daniels (Chris Daniels and the Kings), Emilio Emilio, Hemi Cuda, Hazel Miller, Stu Miller (Savage Henry), Paperbird, Jim Ratts and Runaway Express, Mike Rice (Defeat the Lie), Rich Ross (Xiren), Jay Ruybal (Xiren and Hemi Cuda), Soul Sacrifice, Angie Stevens, TD, Timothy P., Tempa and the Tantrums, Harry Tuft, Wendy Woo, Xiren and Kailin Yong (Boulder Acoustic Society).

Each week this summer, a classic film and band will appear at Red Rocks Amphitheatre hosted by hilarious comedians, which will provide a thoroughly entertaining evening for all. The Denver Film Society encourages everyone to come out and enjoy the natural Red Rocks Amphitheatre. Tickets are only 10 dollars, parking is free, and the entertainment is top notch!
