2009 Mayor’s Design Awards Announced
Mayor John Hickenlooper celebrated the growing number of Denver’s homeowners, small business owners and developers who have made design excellence a priority in their community at the fifth annual Mayor's Design Awards. The program honored 15 diverse projects that enhance the city.

 Input Sought on Trash and Recycling Services
Input Sought on Trash and Recycling Services
The Denver Department of Public Works/Solid Waste Management will be holding a series of public meetings to gather input on the current residential trash and recycling services offered by the City of Denver. The information gathered at these meetings will help steer the development of the City and County of Denver’s Solid Waste Management Master Plan, a long term guide that outlines the future of solid waste services. 

All interested residents and community groups are encouraged to attend one of the five public meetings:

 Residents unable to attend the public meetings are invited to review the presentation and take part in the public input survey at www.DenverGov.org/Trashsurvey  between June 10 and June 30, 2009.

The Denver Solid Waste Management Master Plan will be a twenty year guide for how and what the City provides as part of its solid waste management services and how the GreenPrint Denver waste diversion goals will be achieved.   These community meetings are specifically seeking to determine individual and community values around solid waste management services in Denver.  

For additional information regarding the Solid Waste Master Plan public meetings, please call 3-1-1.   
 
Residents requiring special accommodations are asked to make their requests five business days prior to the meeting they wish to attend.
