Thursday, Nov. 26 - City and County of Denver offices will be closed for the day in observance of Thanksgiving Day. On Friday, November 27, most City and County offices will aslo be closed as Employees are taking a furlough day to help the City create budget savings during these challenging economic times. New Zoning Code Introduced New Zoning Code Introduced   The New Zoning Code fixes Denver's 53 year-old, unwieldy, patch-worked zoning code. The New Denver Zoning Code, a comprehensive rewrite, will support a growing economy, a sustainable environment, a diverse mix of housing, strong neighborhoods and a high quality of life.      New Zoning Code Kickoff event Tuesday - May 12, 2009 Colorado Convention Center - 5:30 pm A report on the purpose and progress of The New Code, introduce the context and form-based approach, demonstrate how these approaches better support Denver’s adopted plans and describe how the New Code will be easier to use and understand.
