2009 Mayor’s Design Awards Announced
Mayor John Hickenlooper celebrated the growing number of Denver’s homeowners, small business owners and developers who have made design excellence a priority in their community at the fifth annual Mayor's Design Awards. The program honored 15 diverse projects that enhance the city.

 DIA Job Fair
DIA Job Fair
To connect job seekers with a wide variety of airport jobs, the Denver Office of Economic Development will host a DIA Job Fair, Friday, September 12, from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m., at the Green Valley Ranch Recreation Center, 4890 Argonne Way in Denver.

Offered seasonally, the job fair promotes more than 300 full-time and part-time openings available in several fields, including retail, transportation, airline-related services, food services and security.

All job applicants must pass a background check to be eligible for employment at Denver International Airport. In addition, prospective employees must successfully complete an airport security test to be hired. The Denver Workforce Center at DIA offers free airport security preparation classes to assist those taking the test.

Business attire is requested for the job fair, and attendees are encouraged to pre-register at a Denver Workforce Center or online at www.connectingcolorado.com.
