Thursday, Nov. 26 - City and County of Denver offices will be closed for the day in observance of Thanksgiving Day. On Friday, November 27, most City and County offices will aslo be closed as Employees are taking a furlough day to help the City create budget savings during these challenging economic times. Help Clean Up South Platte River Trail Help Clean Up South Platte River Trail   VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES: RIVERSWEEP In partnership with the Greenway Foundation, Denver Parks + Recreation is seeking 300 volunteers to help cleanup an 11-mile stretch of the South Platte River Trail. Volunteers are needed to help their park for a multi-task project including; trash pickup, weed designated areas, clean the banks and seed natural areas from boarder to boarder along the South Platte River Trail in the City and County of Denver. Registration will be at Fishback Landing Park- just north of Denver Aquarium and south of REI store on Saturday, September 20th from 8:00 am-12:00 pm. All tools will be provided for the project. It is suggested you bring your own gloves and water bottle. Dress for any weather. Do not bring pets.
