Voting system to be tested by Denver Elections Division
Two-day test open to the public and the news media
The Denver Elections Division will conduct a public logic and accuracy test of the voting system that will be used for the August 12 State Primary and Special Municipal Election, starting Tuesday, July 29 at 10 a.m.
Two types of voting equipment will be tested:
Sequoia 400c Ballot scanners, which will be used to count the paper ballots. Denver will vote primarily on paper ballots in the 2008 elections.
Sequoia Edge II electronic touch-screen voting machines, which will be available at polling places during early voting and on Election Day primarily to accommodate voters with disabilities.
The public, party representatives, candidates and the news media are invited to witness the testing.
The Denver Elections Division is located at 3888 E. Mexico Ave., Denver.
