Please call us at 3-1-1 (or 720-913-1311 if dialing outside of Denver) if you have recycling service issues, such as a missed collection or you set your containers out late. Please, do not e-mail us about time sensitive service-related issues, such as missed collections. Our response time is slower via e-mail, and we prefer to resolve service issues as quickly as possible.

The staff of Denver Recycles offers information on how to participate in Denver Recycles residential recycling collection service, special programs and information on waste reduction and recycling at home, work and school.

Mission Statement
Denver Recycles' mission is to provide residential recycling collection services to residents, reduce the volume and toxicity of solid waste disposed, and encourage environmentally responsible purchasing and disposal habits among Denver residents in their homes, at work, and at school.

Denver Recycles is a program of Denver Public Works/Solid Waste Management. Denver Recycles offers Denver residents every-other-week recycling services and seasonal waste reduction and recycling programs, and provides residents general information on waste reduction and recycling.

The programs of Denver’s Solid Waste Management:

  • Residential Trash Removal – Serving Denver residents living in single family homes and small residential complexes (7 residences or less)
  • Large Item Pickup – For residents. Crews collect items such as furniture and mattresses on a five-week rotation schedule.
  • Denver Partners Against Graffiti – Providing free graffiti abatement services to residents and businesses.
  • Denver Recycles – Leading the way on recycling, urban composting and the safe disposal of household hazardous materials.
  • Keep Denver Beautiful - Enhancing the visual appearance of Denver by addressing problems of graffiti and litter through volunteer projects and educational programs.
