Public Works Development Engineering Services (PW DES) manages all activities associated with private development and use of the City's street public right-of-way. DES determines developer-required improvements and reviews private development plans for regulatory compliance in the areas of transportation, survey and right-of-way management. DES provides inspection and permits for construction of private development projects, and in conjunction with the private use of the City rights-of-way.

Development Engineering Services' Mission:
Provide a livable community by ensuring public health and safety through orderly development of land in a cost-effective manner supporting the Denver Comprehensive Plan, and coordinate all private use and private construction of public infrastructure in the right-of-way.
