The Victim Assistance Unit of the Denver Police Department is part of the Crimes Against Persons Bureau in the Criminal Investigations Division.
Victim Specialists from the VAU are on-call and available 24-hours a day, 365 days a year for on-scene response to provide crisis intervention, assistance and services to victims of crime or incidents of non-criminal, stark misfortune to which the Denver Police Department has been called.
The VAU office is open seven days a week, 365 days a year
