If you, a loved one or a member of your family has been affected by crisis, trauma or concerns following criminal victimization or require assistance or support as the result of other stark misfortune, please contact the Victim Assistance Unit (VAU) of the Denver Police Department.  
 
As members of the Denver Police Department we are dedicated to serving the citizens of the City & County of Denver.  We understand that crime and victimization affects individuals, families, neighborhoods and communities in a variety of ways.  We can offer a number of services, resources and information designed to assist you.

The Victim Assistance Unit of the Denver Police Department is part of the Crimes Against Persons Bureau in the Criminal Investigations Division.
 
Victim Specialists from the VAU are on-call and available 24-hours a day, 365 days a year for on-scene response to provide crisis intervention, assistance and services to victims of crime or incidents of non-criminal, stark misfortune to which the Denver Police Department has been called.
 
The VAU office is open seven days a week, 365 days a year
