Right of Way Licenses are renewed annually. Please Submit the following documents in addition to the renewal fees:
1. Current Certificate of Liability Insurance is required.
2. If your Bond is not Continuous, please also submit an original Continuation Certificate.
3. Current supporting documents are required.
4. Sole Proprietors or Individuals renewing a license must provide an Affidavit of Lawful Presence and proof that he or she is lawfully present in the United States. Renewals submitted in-person with original secure and verifiable identification and where the applicant signs the affidavit in-person notarized copies are not necessary. Mailing in or anyone bringing in documentation who is not the applicant must have both the affidavit notarized and the copy of a secure and verifiable identification notarized. (This requirement does not pertain to Corporations, Partnerships, or LLC’s)
4. Remittance must be postmarked (if mailed) or received in our office on or before the license expiration date, otherwise a 10% penalty fee will be charged during the 30-day grace period allowed by the Revised Municipal Code (RMC), Chapter 32.
5. Renewals received after the 30-day grace period will not be accepted without a Right-of-Way Re-Application form,
6. Renewals received more than 1 year after the license expiration date will not be accepted and the applicant must apply for a new license. See the steps to apply on the front of the Right-of-Way License Application.
