We, the staff of the Office of Clerk and Recorder, are pleased to provide services to the citizens of the City and County of Denver relating to marriages, real property recordings, releases of deeds of trust, and foreclosures. Through this and our associated Public Trustee, City Clerk, and Elections Division websites, we are working constantly to enhance the quality of our services and the information that we bring to you online.

The Clerk and Recorder's 2008 Annual Report is now available. An online copy may be viewed here. Printed copies are also available at the Clerk and Recorder's office, 201 West Colfax Ave., and also at the Elections Division office, 3888 East Mexico Ave.
 

Designated Beneficiary forms are available. Inquire at the Recording counter.
  

Marriage License Fees:  Effective July 1, 2009 the marriage license fee increased to $30, in accordance with new state legislation.
 

Recording Fees:  Effective April 1, 2009, recording fees are subject to the following schedule:
 
  • $6.00 for first page, $5.00 for each additional page --
    • Plus $5.00 for each grantor in excess of one per document;
    • Plus $5.00 for each grantee in excess of one per document.

8 a.m. - 5 p.m., Monday - Friday
 
Due to the need to be able to close out the day's business by 5pm, we will not be able to accept marriage license applications or over-the-counter recordings after 4:30pm. Thank you for your understanding.
