Public Scoping Meeting - June 26, 2008
A public scoping meeting was held in June to kick-off the project and to discuss the proposed improvements at the Central Park Boulevard/I-70 Interchange. At the meeting, a presentation was given to inform the community of the project’s progress and to gather public input regarding the study process. The presentation was immediately followed by a question and answer/comment session, allowing the attendees to further discuss and ask specific questions regarding the proposed project with members of the project team. Following are comments heard at the meeting:
• Need safe and direct access for pedestrians, bicycles, and vehicles to Northfield
• Construct the project as soon as possible
• Build a separate pedestrian bridge
• Use the Cargo bridge

A public meeting was held on Tuesday, December 2, 2008 from 5:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Radisson Hotel located at

Public Hearing – June 25, 2009A Public Hearing was held at the Radisson Hotel Denver Stapleton Plaza, 3333 Quebec Street, Denver, on Thursday, June 25, 2009. The purpose of this meeting was to present the recommended Preferred Alternative for the proposed I-70/CPB Interchange. Approximately 30 people attended the meeting including citizens and elected officials. Attendees were given the opportunity to view various project exhibits and maps and encouraged to discuss the recommended Preferred Alternative and ask questions concerning the proposed project with the project team.
The project team presented the project purpose and need, described the alternatives and screening process, and recommended a Preferred Alternative. Impacts to the study area and mitigation were presented. Formal comments were accepted both verbally and in writing at the meeting.
