1. All drivers of vans for hire with a seating capacity of more than five persons not including the driver but less than sixteen passengers are required to obtain a herdic license. Drivers of vans that are run by hotels to the airport as a complimentary service to residents of the hotels are not required to be licensed. Drivers of vans that run directly from the airport to a location outside of Denver with no stops in Denver will not need to be licensed.
2. If the charges to the customers for riding in a van are charged on a flat rate rather than a meter, then the driver will only be required to take the limousine test. If the vehicle for hire operates on a meter, the driver must take the taxi driver test. The van drivers are required to submit the same documents with their applications as are taxi driver applicants.
