In September 1997, the Director of Excise and Licenses appointed the Director of the Building Inspection Division of the Department of Public Works as an assistant for executing the duties of the Director pertaining to licensing of contractors, including processing applications, issuing licenses, and processing and issuing renewals of licenses. Thus, the Department of Excise and Licenses is no longer directly involved in the business licensing of contractors.

Thus the Department of Excise and Licenses is no longer directly involved in the licensing of sewer contractors.
