 Bulk Digital Data

Introduction

We are pleased to offer a substantial and expanding library of digital images and indices of recorded documents. These records relate primarily to real estate transactions but include all documents accepted by our office for recording. Our library currently spans the years 1989 to date. This range ultimately will be extended back to Denver's 1858 inception.

The data is organized into ZIP files, each ZIP containing the complete recordings of a single day as a few text (TXT) index files and many tagged image file (TIF) image files.

New Data

As recording processing is completed new data becomes available and is published on a daily basis as a succession of new ZIP files.
  • Networked access can be established for commercial concerns, which enables immediate downloads at any time.

  • On a monthly basis the daily ZIPs of the preceding completed month are published as one or more DVD (conventional 4.7GB DVD-ROM media) volumes, as the aggregate size of the month’s files requires. (Typically, one. The month’s data is distributed approximately equally among the number of discs required.)
A bulk data sample (not a full day) is available here. It is a single ZIP file containing TIF, TXT, DOC, and XLS files, 155 files total. The index files fields layout is included. The download may take a few moments if you have a slower connection.

Note: The TIF files have .001, .002, .003, ... suffixes, which refer to document page numbers, and appear as such in the actual data ZIPs. They should be readable by any TIF-capable viewer, such as Windows Fax Viewer.

Note: Actual daily data ZIPs range in size from about 50MB to 160MB.

Note: You will need to create your own database and/or means of identifying, associating, referencing, and viewing index and image files.

    Historical Data

All historical data is available only as DVD volumes. Historical volumes typically span several months; the greater the regression in time, generally the more dates included in the volumes. This reflects fewer numbers of documents recorded in past years.

    Fees

You may purchase any number of DVD volumes, or the entire library. The quantity of data of some months may require more than one DVD. The fee for each DVD volume is $1,500.

You also may subscribe to access to the downloadable ZIP files of bulk data. The subscription fee is $1,500 per month.

Payments accepted by check or cash only. Credit cards not currently accepted. Please see further payment information below.
