Meeting Objectives

· To review the project description; the focus of the project

· To establish a list of and understand each others’ issues/interests/concerns

· To learn about measures of effectiveness in preparation for meeting #2

5:50 Project Description - presentation

6:10 Consensus Committee Protocols – discussion - review and revise

Outcome: Agreement on how the group will operate, the goal, the composition and how decisions are made

7:10 Issue Development – discussion - each person will describe the issues important to their organization and the group will review and discuss the list of issues raised at the public meeting (on May 12, 2005) and the by resource agencies (on June 13, 2005).

Outcome: A list of issues that will be used throughout the process to assess an alternative’s success (does an alternative address the concerns/issues)

8:10 Preparation for meeting #2: Description of measures of effectiveness (MOE) – what are they, how are they used/measured, how they will be used in the decision making process?

Outcome: Begin to understand the measures of effectiveness in order to establish which are important for decision making to different entities and to begin to frame the study area.
