Continuing Education

A position with Denver 911 not only provides a challenging and rewarding career, it also provides continuing educational opportunities.  All 911 operators and dispatchers attend an eight hour class, once per year to satisfy Career Service Authority requirements.  These classes range from Time Management to Leadership Development.  If you have an interest in learning another language, there are also classes for Conversational Spanish or even Sign Language courses to attend!

The continuing education incentive does not end there.  Each employee at Denver 911 is eligible to attend career enhancement courses as well.  Crisis Intervention Team (CIT) training, Homeland Security Training, and various other emergency communications related classes are offered to every employee in the agency.

It is important to the management of Denver 911 to offer the very best services to the citizens of the City and County of Denver, and in order to offer the very best; we have to offer the very best training opportunities to our team members.
