Ashley Hempel - Lead Police Dispatcher

I have been in Law Enforcement for 13 years, starting as a dispatcher and progressing to a police officer (8 and 5 years respectively).  I trained on the job for both areas and also trained in the police academy that was at the Community College.  I was a medic for approximately 8 years and trained in that capacity as well.   I originally started my career in Texas and in 2005 moved to Colorado.  I began working in Denver in March of 2006 and have enjoyed every moment of my time here.  I love to read, do anything on the water, and spend time with my nephews and niece.  I am excited to not only extend my knowledge to help others but to grow in this new position.

Randa Hinz - Lead Police Dispatcher
I have a little over 7 years of dispatching experience with both the Rangely and Lakewood Police Departments.  I have been a Police Dispatcher Denver 911 since 2006.  I have an Associates Degree in General Studies with an emphasis in Criminal Justice.   I have also volunteered as a Victim’s Advocate and a Diversion Officer for Jefferson County.  Last year I ran my first marathon in San Francisco and have found a passion for running. I enjoy traveling, scuba diving, going camping, snow skiing, playing cards, and spending time with my 11 year old coon-hound “Chubs.” I look forward to being a LEAD dispatcher and am very excited for the change and new opportunities.
